The California Air Tools RD-91502 refrigerated air dryer (120v 60hz) typically removes around 98% of moisture from compressed air, achieving a Pressure Dew Point (PDP) between 2 – 10℃ (35.6 to 50 Fahrenheit), making it suitable for most general industrial applications where a high level of dryness is needed but not an extremely low dew point.*

INSTALLATION TIPS:

  • Connect the California Air Tools RD-91502 98% Refrigerated air dryer to the output of the Air Compressor, then connect to final tooling/application. 
  • If Air Compressor does not have an output filter (5 um filtering minimum) to prevent ingestion of contaminents into the RD-91502 dryer, then it is suggested to install a filter (or regulator with filter) between air compressor and RD-91502 Dryer. 
  • To help reduce observed/temporary air pressure losses at output of RD-91502 Dryer, it is suggested to add an Auxiliary Air Tank between Air Compressor and RD-91502 Dryer (i.e. provides stable air buffering). 

  • ISO 8573 Class 4 Air Drying System
  • Limitations: Not suitable for applications requiring dry air with extremely low dew points (i.e. ISO 8573 2.3.1 class, PDP -29F to -50F), then instead a desiccant-based air dryer system WILL be required. If ISO 8573 Class 2 compliant clean/dry air is required, California Air Tools offers many air compressor models which achieve a PDP average of -40F (-40℃)
